Prep and Prep
The last two weeks have been packed full of work for us! The farmhouse tables we showed you in our last post have been slowly coming to completion, but this past week we turned our attention to a few other things.
If you don't already know, this upcoming weekend we will be hosting a RockSugar Wedding show, hosted by Kendra Dolson of Little Blue Bird Photography and Margaret Hess of Edgewood Place Occasions (if you don't have tickets, get them now!!), and we couldn't be more excited! We have been cleaning and revamping the decor for the event, which included hanging new greens on our ladder, and in the bridal dressing room. Because it's early in the week, there will obviously be more to come, so be sure to check our Instagram for more sneak peaks!
If you've been following the blog, you know that we were working on building our catering kitchen a few weeks ago. This came to an abrupt halt when mother nature reminded us that the driveway leading into the kitchen has a tendancy to flood, which is a problem we had to address. This past weekend, Jordan and Lloyd spent time trenching and running pipe to redirect any water that would head that way so that the kitchen stays in tact.
We also had a HUGE generator installed! (see in photo below - it's the giant grey box)
While this is not a big aesthetic change, we wanted to note this for all of you folks (especially our upcoming couples) because this means that if the power goes out for some reason during your wedding, we've got you covered with this bad boy!
The coming weeks will bring a lot more progress as we near wedding season, which starts the first weekend in April, and we can't wait to share it with you!
