The past few weeks were a little crazy around here as we put the finishing touches on the building AND hosted our first wedding of the year. Speaking of our first wedding of the year, we wanted to give a shout out to Paige and Andrew, our couple who was married last weekend here at Black Barn. Congratulations you two!!
In order to get ready for their wedding, we started in the front of the building, the first thing you see when you drive in. We planted lavender plants around the perimeter of the center of our driveway, added a corrugated steel ring around the tree in the middle.
Mulching was a big part of what we accomplished last week. We mulched the entire middle square of our driveway and we mulched along the south side of the pond near one of our wedding ceremony locations. We finished this area just in time for Paige and Andrew’s wedding, where they held their ceremony.
We finally got the fountain in the pond put back in the pond, creating a beautiful view and a nice background noise for our guests.
The back of the building was finally finished! Stain is applied, lights are up, and doors are fully functioning!
We also finished the side door as well complete with a matching light and a few plants to decorate as well.
A fire pit was installed in the back courtyard area for our guests to use as well. This area will also double as our designated smoking spot for those who need it.
Inside the building, we finished the men’s dressing room with a couch, a few cushions, and a mini-fridge. We also hung the mirrors, which makes this man cave feel complete!
We hung a few flower vases on a wall where we felt needed a bit of sprucing. Since Paige and Andrew’s colors were purple and grey, we tried to match the theme!
Stay tuned for more updates as the summer continues, and once again, Congratulations to Paige and Andrew!
