Full Speed Ahead

As you know, we’ve been in major renovation mode since late winter and things are far from slowing down. With this year’s wedding season only a little more than a month away (yay/yikes!) we are in full-on work mode around here to get things in tip-top shape for our brides and grooms. Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to the past few weeks:

Our sign out front is officially up! While this wont be our permanent sign, it's nice to have something up to greet our visitors.

The front left side of the building has received new top soil, so we are ready to plant some grass out front! The guys also built a small retaining wall of sorts around the perimeter of the soon-to-be grassy area that lines the driveway to our future overflow parking area.

If you’ve been following this blog, you know that the back side of the building has been a work in progress for some time now. In the past few weeks, the guys have been hard at work getting the siding up on the back side of our future tasting room, and that portion is now completely sided and ready for stain.

After finishing the back of the tasting room, they moved on to start on the south-facing wall of the event space – more to come on this part!

Inside the building, we’ve slowly been gathering décor and materials to finish the dressing rooms for our brides and grooms. The bridal suite’s décor is starting to come together with our bar stools, pillows, a full-length mirror and a rug, but there’s still more to come!

The women’s bathroom now feels complete with the addition of what might be our favorite piece of décor in the entire building – this little bench and pillow truly makes the room feel complete!

Keep watching the blog and our social media for more updates. This month will bring many changes for Black Barn, and we’re excited to share them with you!
