The sun, the snow and a wedding show
If you live in mid-Michigan, my bet is that your week was just as crazy as ours was at Black Barn. We found ourselves wearing jeans and t-shirts working outside one day and bundled up with hats and scarves fending off the snow the next. Luckily for us, the jeans and t-shirt weather lasted just long enough for some of us to get some outdoor things done around here, and we're excited about the developments!
The back deck for the tasting room and event hall is deep in construction mode and the unseasonably warm weather created the perfect opportunity for Lloyd, Sam and Eli to continue working on finishing laying the deck joist.
Even the ducks showed up to cheer on the guys as they worked!
Jordan started winter pruning in the vineyard, trimming up the dormant grape vines so that when the spring comes they'll be ready to grow. Oakley, one of the vineyard dogs, was absolutely no help, but looked pretty darn cute in this photo!
Wendy and Megan ended the week at the Jackson Bridal Fair in Jackson, Michigan - Black Barn's first time having a booth at a bridal show. We loved meeting all of the other area vendors and local brides at our booth and the House of DeVaughn Bridal was a great host. After such a busy week, we're excited to see what next week brings!
